What we look for

Proof, not résumés

We curate on demonstrated, public work with real harnesses.

  • Hands-on mastery of one or more harnesses (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, Aider…)
  • Public proof: open-source agents/MCP servers, popular configs, talks, write-ups, or a track record at work
  • Ability to explain clearly and meet learners where they are
  • A specialty — MCP, subagents, migrations, team rollout, design-to-code, and so on

Mentor FAQ

Questions, answered

How does the engagement work?

HarnessMentor is a closed, invite-only service — not an open marketplace. You join the roster as an independent contractor: we sell and schedule the sessions, you deliver them, and we pay you at your agreed rate.

How and how much do I get paid?

We agree your rate up front — typically $40–$150/hour depending on expertise and demand — and pay per delivered session or on a monthly retainer, via Upwork, Freelancer, or direct transfer, whichever you prefer.

Do I have to commit a lot of time?

No. You control your availability and can offer as few or as many sessions as you like. Many mentors do this alongside a full-time role.

What does vetting involve?

A short review of your public work and a brief practical screen on your harness of choice. We're checking for genuine, demonstrable expertise — not credentials.

Can I offer team workshops?

Yes. You can opt into higher-value team and enterprise engagements — cohort workshops, office hours, and rollout advisory.
